When adding a shared printer on a Win 7 64bit machine that is shared from a Win XP machine you’ll sometimes see an error 0x000007e
You can get around this by going to
Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers
Add Printer
“Add a local printer” (yes I know it’s not local, but this is how we do it)
Then select “Create a new port” and enter the printers address as shown below
And then just “ok” your way through.
